Club Management
Founded in 1999, the Probus Club of Burwood East is a dynamic club that owes its success to the enthusiastic participation of its members - not only as members but by participating in leadership and support roles. The overall management of the Club is in the hands of the Committee of Management who is responsible to Probus South Pacific Ltd. The committee is chaired by the President who serves a one-year term. The other members are:
Vice President: assists the President and presides in the President’s absence in addition to organizing the Vice President’s lunch that follows the monthly meeting.
Secretary: attends to agendas, minutes and correspondence.
Treasurer: attends to all matters financial.
Trips and Tours co-ordinator: see the Activities page
Membership Secretary: is responsible to maintaining the membership database, welcoming new members and inducting new members. Two Club members each month welcome members and keep the attendance sheets.
Members Welfare Officer: keeps an eye on how members are travelling medically.
Club Services co-ordinator: is in charge of the kitchen at the monthly meeting venue and organizes the roster of members who volunteer to serve morning tea.
Invited Speaker co-ordinator: is responsible for organizing the guest speaker at the monthly meeting.
Editor of our monthly newsletter, The Bulletin.
The immediate Past President is an ex officio member of the committee for a period of 12 months.
President Lino takes the chain of office as our 25th President.
